Artist's Statement
I am inspired by color. I love all colors. If I am in a room and see a striking color combination – I am instantly drawn to it. This love of color plays a large role in my artwork. I was a painter for a long time and I approach glass with the same concerns – field of depth, shadows, balance and overall harmony of design.
Currently I have been working on pieces featuring birds and fish. I consider them to be Mother Nature’s jewelry. The iridescence of a dragonfly’s wing, a feather from a peacock, the jewel-colored throat of a hummingbird, light shimmering across the scales of a fish.
