Pietro and Riccardo Ferro were born into a family with a long history of working with glass. Their father, Paolo Ferro, was a well-respected glass worker, and the brothers learned from him the art of grinding. In 2000, they decided to open their own studio, Moleria, on the island of Murano where they could continue their father’s legacy and explore their own creative vision. The Ferro brothers see glass as a medium with endless potential, and they specialize in developing new vessels and techniques. Their work has been shown in galleries and museums around the world, and they are among the foremost glass artists working today.
As they continue to push the boundaries of their art form, the Ferro brothers are making a lasting contribution to the world of glass. They have collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Lino Tagliapietra, Davide Salvadore, Pino Signoretto, and many others. In addition, they collaborated with the most well-known glassware of Murano Island: Venini, Barovier Toso, Carlo Moretti, Seguso and the majority of local Artisans.
Finally, after many years of acquired experience, they have started to create their own artistic pieces like vases and sculptures, focused on a more modern and innovative design.
