Artist Statement

I find inspiration from the very medium that I work with. Glass, in its molten state, moves and reacts as different colors are incorporated. I visualize each color, its density, its motion, and consider how it will interact with other colors as I work through a piece. I let the glass show me what it wants to be. I find great joy in watching each piece evolve and come together into a complete work of art.

I enjoy the entire process, from start to finish, for every piece I create. I love the challenge, the heat, and the molten glass as it moves and takes shape. The final product should be a perfect result of balance, color, shape, and design. Each piece inspires the next in one way or another. The cycle continues and as I work, each piece is a moment frozen in time. My goal is to share those moments with others in the hopes that they find joy in them like I do.
