Anne Nye Works

“In today’s world, more than ever before, there is a need for beauty.  My work is an interpretation of the beauty of nature with the hope that it will bring a sense of joy and peace to the soul of the viewer.”

Originally form the Pacific Northwest, Anne’s art was profoundly shaped by the beauty and color of the land.  A painter in training and passion, Anne has perfected her own “painterly” glass techniques of shading and contouring using layers of finely crushed glass. From her crisp, graphic-style music pieces to her love of color, depth, texture, and beauty.

Anne Nye studied fine art at the University of Idaho and California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland, CA.  She worked as a graphic designer and fine artist for many years and in 1997 began working full time as a fine art painter.  Succumbing to the beauty of fused glass in 2000, Anne has worked on her own to develop her unique style and techniques.
